My Dr. Suess quilt for my granddaughter had 5 blocks. The pattern idea came from the Fons and Porter Love of Quilting magazine, but she didn't like the fabric they had. We used her favorite book and went from there with the center blocks and then used fabric squares for the outlining borders.
