HELP FROM HUSQVARNA OWNERS. Today after nearly finishing my last eye glass case - (I decided to do two again ) the damn thread got caught around the area under the dog feed. So I meticulously pulled threads out. I proceeded to sew the thing again and wham it happened again. So I pulled the design out of the hoop and cut off the excess WSS and thought "Oh! well I'll just do it on the ordinary sewing machine section". So I selected the satin stitch and off I went only to find the thread jamming and the bobbin case not moving. So I pulled the thread plate off, the top of the bobbin case, the bobbin case holder and the side plastic section and pulled all the threads out. I then put it all back together again and notice that the bobbin case where the bobbin is sitting is still not moving at all and that was why the threads were all in there. How can I get the damn thing to go again? Can anyone assist me - I can't find any help in the Instruction book. So it looks like another trip to the Thorpe's tomorrow (after a funeral I am attending of one of our parishioners). Love Chris

However, the first thing I would do is put a drop of oil in the bobbin seat. Can you get the bobbin out?

NO NO NO do not put oil in there. Chris, there is a yahoo group called Designer Gems where there are several wonderful, knowledgeable people to help. Give them a try. Hugs. Nan W

Hi Chris, I have Husqvarne machines and have not had your trouble, sorry to hear about it. Have you cleaned all out when you took the bobbin case and all out and maybe try a new bobbin, not too overloaded with thread.Not much help sorry.

I've done everything I can think of and restarted etc. I'll just have to take it back in tomorrow. I just wish I could fix these little things myself. It's so frustrating. Love Chris

I've had Husqvarna machines for over 30 years and have NEVER OILED them, so I know not to do that.
I think I'll try the websites and still take it in tomorrow! It's still under warranty till September so I may as well get everything that needs fixing done. Love Chris

I am sorry to hear your MEbaby has to goto the shop. My hibby would try oil, however if it is locked up it may not release. Good Luck! Live Laugh Download Stitch!

Well obviously the one thing you don't want to do is oil it! These machines are not meant for meager little homeowners to mess with. To much computerized stuff. I did have this happen once and it turned out that there was a tiny little piece of thread caught under the place where the bobbin goes. What I do is remove the bobbin, bobbin holder, the metal seam guide and the plastic grid that holds down the bobbin. Use the little brush that came with your machine and wipe all around, then you'll see a 'hole' in the side of the bobbin bed - put your little brush in there and wipe it out, turn the hand wheel and repeat until you have gone all around the bobbin area. You will probably get a bunch of lint out, that may be your problem. Hope this helps and keep us posted.

when this happened to me this is what I did.I found my book looked up the how the bobbin case fit back in my machine because I had took it out to clean the threads out. I had been putting it back in wrong. dont know if thats whats happened to yours or not. Good luck I know how frustrating it can be.

Please let us know how you finally get it fixed. I have an SE & a Diamond & do seem to be having little problems. Esp. my Diamond will make a small loop on the top side when doing satin stitch in an emb. design. I've put a thread net on the spool, and about everything I can think of.

Oh, isn't it just tragic when ever this type of thing happens? ---- and always when you are at your busy time of the year. Hope you can have it fixed soonest. ( terrible that it should happen at all!!!)

This happened to me once and my problem was the cutter had moved (as if cutting) and never returned to it's place on the left. I pushed the cutter back by using the little track behind it and then I hit the "scissor" button a few times just to make sure it wasn't jammed anymore. All was good. Hope yours is something so simple. It is very frustrating until the problem is solved. Good luck. Sharon

Sorry you are having problems. Since I have a Singer and 2 BabyLocks, I know nothing about the machine you are using! I would not dare to try to tell you anything for fear it would make things worse. It is nice that it is still under warranty! Hope it is something simple to fix! I do not use my machines very often but I sure do panic when something goes wrong! Good Luck!!!!!!Hugs, Linda

Good news people. It's 7.30am here on Wednesday morning. I gave up in disgust last night and after 9 hours rest I turned the machine on and put in a piece of fabric just to see if it would go and voila! IT DID! So whatever it was maybe it just needed a break! It's been working pretty hard with all my CURSILLO items. Thanks for all the good tips. Love and blessings Chris

Well Chris it sounds as if you have been busy, busy, busy with your machine. Maybe it wanted a rest. So glad to hear all is now fine. Does youtube have any info that could be helpful for your machine as I have seen useful stuff for me there

I have discovered its best to turn it off and walk away and then call the dealer/repair shop and have them help me over the phone its a long drive to get mine fixed and im Broke so I try to do it myself if and when I can but usually a day a way helps even a few hours are good sometimes !

Oh Chris, I hate when that happens! I've never heard you so upset and just plain angry before - LOL I'm glad it is working. One time when this kept happening to me, I found I had a cracked bobbin and that was the problem.

How wonderful that it was O. K. the next day when you turned it back on. I'm never that lucky, if I have ANYTHING that doesn't work it has to see a repair man before it works again. So far I've never had any problems with a machine but I know I'm living on borrowed time. Juanita

I suggested to oil the bobbin race... as my machine too says no oil,
but when that happened to mine recently (under warranty) I sent it away to get fixed as mine didn't right itself...
and when it came back, the repair docket said 'Lack of Oil' !!!!
