Don't use oven cleaner with out gloves. I did and my finger tips are so sore I can't even thread my machine. Lyn. xx

Oh Lyn, I maintain that ALL housework is hazardous. It's just not worth risking an injury that might prevent you from sewing! You need to stop doing it. he he

Absolutely not! You should wear gloves. Those chemical are BAD for you skin!! Better put some good soothing cream on them! Hope they feel better SOON!

No need to use nasty chemicals! Here are a few suggestions-google --safe oven cleaners--for more ideas.
Put a layer of aluminum foil on the floor of the oven, and it catches spills as they happen. Easy to replace.
Rest those fingers.
