I have bought some material to make some Oxford pillow cases and would like to do some embroidery on them. Where is the best place to place embroidery on a pillowcase. TIA. Sarah.

On my favorite pillow case. I ripped out the seam and put the embroidery on the lined sash. Or I put it just above the sash.

If it is just for display Sarah I would do it either in the centre or to one corner. I believe the Oxford pillowcase has a border around it. If it's not for display and for sleeping I would try and do something appropriate on the borders. Love Chris

On Oxford pillowcases I have embroidery around the edge, small flowers every few ins all round can look lovely.

If it is for display the center otherwise I try not to put any design where one would lay their head/face.
