I am fairly new to this site also - but this is what I understand. Here on the public site you can ask any questions about sewing, machine embroidery, and whatever about this site or related sites. In freebies you will see a list of other sites that also have feebies. Many sites have daily freebies, some have a series like an alphabet, other have design. Some have feebies once a week, and some once a month. Just keep watch on that site and click on the link to go and download what you want. The personal site is for whatever else you would like to share, ect. Many people go here for pray requests or to share good news ect. ect. This is not set in stone and you won't be punished if you put things in the wrong place so don't worry. We have a group that has recently been appointed and they are going to be making some changes ect. We look forward to this as they are a very knowledgeable group to help us out. I'm sure you will be hearing from them.

Best of all you will find lots of experts on many many different things - so don't be afraid to ask whatever questions you have. You will become quickly addicted.

If you become what I would call an official member by paying for 6 mon then you can download anything in the design section for free. If you decide you want to just wait for awhile that is OK too. Either way make sure you go to "designs by cuties" or DBC and look at those designs. They have been contributed by many of our talented digitizers. They are free to download whether you belong or not. There are many great designs out there.

I would recommend that you click on the flower after you download the design or read a comment or download from the freebies. This not only tells the person thank-you, but it is a very good way to keep track of what you have downloaded at a glance.

Hello and welcome! There are a few "tricky" things to learn as you go. But there are going to be some site changes that we are looking forward to. In the meantime, just ask if anything confuses you.

A tip: When you are using the "answer the question" box, you can write as much as you want. Whne you use the "add comment" box, you are limited as to how many words you can write. I don't know what that limit is! If I've written a lot, I just copy it before I "submit" it. Then when it's posted, if the bottom has been chopped off, I immediately add another comment adding just the part that has been chopped off. Hope that isn't too confusing!

Welcome to Cute! So glad you're here, you'll enjoy yourself and learn a lot,too. I wrote a bunch of picture tutorials on various aspects of the site, but not being very good at Googling, I don't know how to find them now. Hopefully at some point with the site changes we'll have all those things in a clickable link at the top of the page, maybe. I hope. If you can't figure out how to do something, just ask, somebody will be able to tell you. Make sure if you're uploading pictures to projects that they're small enough, or you'll get a red x in a box, they won't load. Click around to all the parts of the site, especially the designs, there are tons of wonderful designs here.
