Chris, I love the colors you used. My Mom used to make afghans, I still have a couple she did, and I treasure them. I'm sure your friend will be just delighted!

Thanks everyone for all your lovely comments. I have given you all flowers. Yes my friend loved it & her other friends couldn't believe I had made it. One lady asked my hubby where I had bought it.
