I am not really sure where to post this? I have done these 2 up for a 90th Birthday Party for my mil & the box is for cards & the book is a Guest book. Do you think I need to do anything to the book sew people know thats what it is? & Can you tell that the box is for cards? I have heard sew many horror stories about people loosing wedding cards before I thought that a covered box would be harder to get your hand inside to take any out? I just can't imagine someone doing this but I have been told that it HAS happened sew.......

I think they're really nice. I'm sure people will know to put their cards in the box, almost every wedding I've ever gone to has that setup. And you'll have the guest book open, I'm sure. You might want to write a little note to people, saying something like "please write your birthday wishes in the guest book for MIL to keep". I keep cards, but most people don't, and all the wishes in a book is a great idea, besides knowing who was there. Good luck, and enjoy the day! Hugs, Marji

I am not sure but I think you mean the guest write something and save. Just provide a place to deposit the cards after they are are written on. My mom's birthday we provided a book to sign in on. It was a God send after wards as we could not remember people.

I think that it is always great to have a book for wishes . Wonderful memories for the birthday girl to read over and over. Just put up a little card near it to say please write Best Wishes here. Hugs Joyce

Just put fancy notes up to say what they are - "write wishes here" and "box for cards", or something to that effect. I'm sure you'll get it just right.
