Today's Stupid Question ..... :-)
Is it possible to embroider a pattern that's 300mm round ( 1 foot ) using a 5 x 7 Hoop? .... Guessing a Big No but if you don't ask you never never know :-)

No you wouldn't be able to do it. Because the widest your hoop is 5 inches and the longest is 7 inches and you say the design is 12 inches! You would need a hoop that is larger than 12 inches to be able to do a 12 inch design. Good luck with your sewing. Love and blessings Chris

Depends a bit on the pattern - the more open areas the easier it would be. You would need software to spilt the design. BUT splitting the design into several parts that fit a 5x7 hoop and then very precise positioning when embroidering it would take a lot of patience and accuracy!

Well, you learn something new every day. I didn't know that Martine - have never split a design. It sounds too fiddly for me. Love Chris

It is possible if you have software to split your design. It will require 6 seperate hoopings with a 5x7.
With printed templates and very stiff starched fabric you can get them to line up nicely.

Unless it is split (as suggested before), I don't think your machine would even accept the design. When I choose a design too lge for the hoop, the machine tells me to change hoops & will go no further. If we could figure that out, we'd not buy machines w/bigger hoops. Can you have the design resized smaller? if it's a favorite you really want to do?

You got your answer! Yes you can but like mops and beve. said you need to have a software to split the design, then have a good fabric, print the templates and put them one by one like a puzzle, I have done it and I have Brother 6500 5x7 It comes out very beautiful! My first split was Guadalupe Virgin, did it on satin, and in my 4x4 machine, it took a lot of hoopings but noeone can say is was made by pieces, it came out as a whole, I would like to take a picture so you can can see it but I do not know where I put the cable to hook to the pc. sorry. and good luck Remember you need a lot of patience but yes it is possible. OH! I forgot the second desing was on towell That time I did not split I bought a bouquet of roses from KO design they have designs ready to embroidery with templates, they called it Break a Limit i have 3 set like that.Good luck!

Welcome to Cute and just so you know, we don't believe in stupid questions. You can't know what you don't know right? And we certainly weren't born knowing everything. I have never been so in love with a design that I was willing to try splitting, but I'll never say never. Some of the newer machines will line it up for you, but not mine. Try it, what have you got to loose except a few hours? ;)
