I don't believe I understand about this.
What did you do, use some scratchy material and embroidery around it on a towel??
by noah 17 Aug 2012
No buy some dish clothes at Walmart or the dollar store.Buy a yard of this scratch fabric (can't remember what it is called) chose your pattern ,place 6 to 8 layers of fabric sew out the design then cut out/off the dish cloth at the back!!hope this helps carolyn

nylon net
by noah 17 Aug 2012
they don't call it that here Bev. but yes thats what it is lol thanks hugs
by jerrib 17 Aug 2012
Is the fabric called...Tulle, like they make bridal veils and crinolines out of?
by dino 17 Aug 2012
I prefer Netting as it is stiffer than tulle.

I buy Scrubby heavy duty net at JoAnns. I find I can use less layers than regular net. I don't cut away the fabric on the under side as it gives it more body. I just use an applique design no bigger than 4 inches.

Just a hint.. When I stitch these I place a piece of WSS stabilizer on top to help hold down the netting.

They look great. I do have another question. You said cut out the dish cloth at the back. Is this so you have a scrubby on both sides? Or do you cut around the design and just use the designed scrubby? Sorry if this questions sounds really dumb. Thanks for your help.

by noah 18 Aug 2012
just so you can use it both sides but some else just said they don't cut the back off your choice lol hugs
