Yes loved the placemats - it is a very rough almost canvas type of material. I got some green ones as well and will make them with red material.

Oh, I really like these. I have a chicken kitchen. Just bought a pattern to make a chicken shaped placemat called 'My Chicken Kitchen' by Cotton Ginny. I'm looking for the right fabric to make those. I make look for some ready made placemats and do these too. thanks for posting.
