In the UK is hot too, but Love it lol. Have you got a small fan to put on, that would help a lot.

Where I live is always hot winter is the coolest season 70 to 75 degrees F so I just touch the machine when i felt it is a lettle to hot stop working for some time to restart it.

Here in NorthernOntario it is going down to 50 at night and maybe 72 in the day time lol

The month of July was noted as the hottest month in United States history (as far back as they kept those records). Is it usually that hot in Belgium at this time of the year? Hugs, Laura*

no it is not so hot normally.. but what is normal lately ? too much rain, so much snow, too hot. Have to start to say "..when I was young.."..

I had never thought about it being too hot to use the sewing machine. I hate the heat, but I stay indoors in the air conditioning when it gets like that. Thanks for making me stop and think.

Edith has the right idea, a fan, preferably above the machine, will help cool you both down, without blowing fabric everywhere.
I have been cold all night and can't wait for summer so I can go downstairs and sew.
Seems we are never happy with our weather, are we???

I tried to find an official answer...but the only warnings were about taking a machine from one extreme temperature to another. They also warned of humidity.
If I did not worry about the humidity, I would use a poor man's air conditioner: One large block of ice, placed in a shallow pan or bucket and a fan on the other side blowing cooler air towards you and your machine. If it is humid where you live, this will not work.
Perhaps we should all visit Carolyn in Canada...at least until it is closer to Winter and zero degrees outside. lol

I don't know officially but I worry about overheating my machines components so when it gets
in the 90's I don't run them unless the air conditioner is on. I feel they get warm on the own after hours of working and extra heat might harm them. But its just me no rules in particular.

wow Linda I have to agree I have never thought about this, I too stay inside with the air on & sew all yr long. I wouldn't take it camping because if its to hot for me then its to hot for my machine too! Hugs Loralye
