I Hit the jackpot! Someone called me and said she was simplifying her life, and would I like her fabric stash. I said, Of course, I'd give it a good home. She said she saw me in the quilt store... Someone told me I made lots of quilts. Well, my neighbor delivered it to me this morning. See picture one! I was just about trembling, and when I pulled it out onto the table - this is what I had. See picture two. Then after three hours of sorting and folding, this is what all was in there! See pictures three and four! Now I just need to blend them into my own stash! God is Good!
There were two quilts all cut out and ready to stitch, and even some cat and parrot fabrics - fat quarters - UFO panels, jungle fabric perfect for Uganda next year!

I just can't believe it! Most of it was really nice quilt fabric! There are some unique pieces of fabric too - a piece of red silk, lots of heavy-weight black, and tons of beautiful flowers!

Toogie, I just couldn't believe all I kept pulling out of the bags! And I also knew I had to tell the Cuties about this, because if there is any group of people who appreciate fabric - It's Cuties!
Isn't that the truth! My children/husband can't understand how I am happy to just look(and of course buy ...SOMETHING)in the same fabric store. There is always a sale on some sort of fabric and I never get tried of looking at different designs,textures,colors,etc. and imagine what I can turn it into. I need to try to get back to sewing my baby gowns/dresses but I don't have enough time in the day.I am back at work since school started,am exercising 2 hours a day and I have my grandsons bluejean quilt started.Yes,Cuties,I have made a START.haha

There were also some small pieces of batik, and some flowers that work perfect with my next project. It had lots of little scraps, too. I already stored with my other scraps that are sorted by color!

How wonderful that is - looks like a lot of nice fabric....not like what was offered to me last week. LOL I had to say no to the offer, for it was all old polyester and what looked like lining materials.

my neighbor calls this stuff vintage!
I was offered a large amount of fabric and when the person went to get it for me a family member came by and she gave it to her instead. I figure she needed it worse than I did. I bet it was old polyester too.
