On the download page there is the option of View or Print for the color chart. Click print, a picture with the information about the design comes up. Copy the information and paste it into a word document and it is editable text. Don't know anything about how Embird works. This works for me.

You can do like CraftyCritter said and Print the color chart into Word. But you'll still have to change the colors manually in your software. No matter what design I download, when I open it in my Janome Digitizer Pro, which I have set up for the thread colors I use, some of them still have to be changed manually. My embroidery machine is set up for RA thread, so the colors don't match in the machine any way I do it. When I'm doing a design with a lot of color changes, I just keep the laptop beside the machine, and read the color changes from the software rather than from the screen on the embroidery machine. Why don't you just choose the Marathon Poly when you view the thread list?

If you google the thread brand name/s there are some converted thread charts available.
I have Isacord thread so I did this search to buy more colours that would match Brother Embroidery thread.
I try to sew the colour nearest to whatever the PES design shows at the machine with what I have in my stash.

I don't have Embird, but once I saw in a group posting that you can make a special text file to put in your color catalog folder in Embrid that "programs" Embird to have that as a choice of catalogs to pick from within the program. The one they had posted was for Metro thread so I'm guessing someone has also done this for Marathon. I have no idea how to do it though.

I think I misunderstand your question too.
Embird already has over 50 thread catalogs of thread lists to choose from including Metro and Maraton Poly. These thread lists are already done for you.

Embird also has the option of creating your own personal thread catalog to add to the list. So I have a catalog named "Penny" and I have put in my made up thread numbers and names of my own for my favorite colors. I only use the thread colors I see on my monitor as a guide that I take to my thread collection where I can choose from threads I already own.

I just change the colurs on my embroidery machine. It is much quicker and easy to do.***
