shhhhh look what I have been making over the last 2 months ,its for my daughter Debbie's birthday on September 17th.I didnt have a pattern ,just made it up as I went along , Im very happy with the way it turned out

Thanks ,I havent made Debbie a quilt since she was young ,she will be 38 , this year,I think its about time I made her another,she dosnt know about the quilt.

This is a beautiful quilt. You did a great job with making the pattern yourself. The flower border adds just the right touch. I can't tell from the picture - is that part embroidered, or is it applique, or made as quilt pieces. I really like.

The flower border is had appliqued ,I did add a few machine embroidered butterflies around to cover jo,ins in the vine

The quilt is 54" square ,the middle and borders are all machine piecedand quilted , the flower border is all hand appliqued and quilted,Thanks for all you kind remarks

Every quilt pattern has been "just made up" by someone. Looks like you added your design to the masses. :) I think this is absolutely beautiful. Your applique border really adds a touch of charm and elegance to a well laid out palette!! You've succeeded in making a very beautiful gift for your daughter!
