Saw these awhile back here on cute and just has to make my daughter in law some .Aren't they the cutest things.Vicki helped me with the flower and the bow ,i think she (my DIL)might like some for her pupils come c/mas time( at least my son thought so) lol

The first thing I thought of when I saw this was a ponytail holder. Now that I look closer, it looks like a pen holder. But I suspect it might work for a ponytail holder too!! I might have to try it for that to see if it will work. :)
