Bookbag that gave me fits.... I thought I could get my whole design onto the front pocket (name was much smaller) but with my single needle, it just wouldn't fit. which is a good thing, because I LOVE how the name looks on the side. font is off my machine... Applique is "Chunky" from embroidery-boutique and the gator is from??? One of the applique sites... The fabric on the gator are two colors of green and the eyes are white, but due to my poor picture taking they look the same. sorry for the poor photo... One of these days I'm getting me a real cameral. hehehe

thanks jeri. IKR? Love the way it turned out. Is that a new pic with twins?
by jrob 01 Sep 2012
No, they aren't twins but 1st cousins born 13 days apart. My first granddaughters. I have 3 grandsons so I was really ready for some pink.

I'd certainly consider this project a success! Putting the name on the side gives real emphsis to the alligator and the "P" is is very cool. Good job!

Your book bag is cute as can be...but please be cautious about putting names on children..there are so many pervs out there.

I know what you mean. I used to be a police officer and that was one of the things I would stress, but the schools require the names because of thief. I tell you, you can't win for losing....;)
Thank you.

Did you embroider the name and applique right on the bag? Did you hoop it in the hoop?

Thank you. It wasn't too bad with my single needle. I used a lot of pins to keep it in place. ;0)
