This is what I have been doing in the lat week. I moved my whole sewing room to a bigger room, sorted everything out and created much more storage space. It is terrifying what I had collected and had forgotten about!!!

It looks roomy and well organised! I'd love a loft extension to have a room like that!!

It is not a loft extension. It is my spare bedroom. We live in an old cottage. Upstairs is straight under the roof. My bedroom is now the tiny room, but what more do you want when you sleep?

What an impressive room, you have arranged it well. I too have a huge sewing room, arranges it occasionally, everything in its place, but messes it after each project, like most of us.

Oh WOW - what a wonderful room. I would love a room like that. The trouble is the more room one has the more "stuff" one collects. Good on you for having a sort out. Sarah.

Oh I'm jealous. For the wonderful clear boxes and the big room. I'm also on my way to change in a bigger room but my problem is that I have to celar out everything. Terrifying thought to move all my fabric and all the rest you hoard on every shelf cause you could maybe need it someday... :o(
Greetings, Bettina

Yes because the moment you through it out that is when you need it.

Angie you are so right ;o)
Seems this is something I learned from my mother never to throw something away that you maybe could use someday *lol*

That is just perfectly lovely, like a room out of a sewing magazine! Congratulations for having done the sorting and moving, that's one hard job. Now, are you going to keep it like this? Or are you going to be like the rest of us, and mess it up and work in it, hee hee hee. It's just great, whichever way you go. Hugs, Marji

I really need to straighten up mine too... I need to go through all of my material and sort it out... like small pieces for applique, baby material, denims, polar fleece, etc... this could take me weeks.... no not really but at least two days or more... am I the only one who is so dis organized in my sewing room??? probably not...

What a beautiful space!! My sewing space shares the laundry space and the store room space, so there is very little space to work.

It is great.!!!! I have been thinking about doing the same thing take an empty bedroom and change it into a sewing room, when my DH and I bought this place we thought a house full of guests now my husband is gone and the so called frirnds are gone too, i have 2 empty bedrooms, fully furnitured and no one comes so i am going to sale one of the bed. furnitures and transform it into a sewing room I have not done that yet becuase I am so confused do not know to stay or to leave??? Your idea is great, nice well organized place!
