Wasn't that a gorgeous moon last night! We were driving home from a Cruise In (showing off our '71 Mustang at a local business with about 60 other old and new cars). Good thing my husband was driving, because I kept looking at that huge moon glowing in the sky.

We had a blue moon here last night as the weather man explained . A blue moon is when you have 2 full moons in one month. It was bright and beautiful. Hugs Joyce

A bit of trivia, We won't see another blue moon until 2015. And last nights blue moon was on the same day Neil Armstrong was buried. He died last week. First man to walk on the moon.

Well, even the universe pays tribute to him. Armstrong was one of my heroes, yet another one bites the dust. But what a life! Thanks for the info.

"Once in a blue moon." A saying I have heard all of my life. ;)

Well, it wasn't exactly blue here, hee hee hee. But it was huge, and these fall moons are so bright and yellow, it rose right exactly in the middle of my driveway, over the hill across the road, not a cloud to be seen. Magnificent sight, reminds me of the beauty of the world, even as bad as it is sometimes. You just couldn't ignore it, it was quiet here, it did almost make music. Jamie the Sheltie and I went out to the end of the drive to see. Little yellow tiger Mikey-cat came with us, wrapping around my legs. Ok, I howled. Like a wolf. Not too too loud, but I really understand why wolves do that. Jamie didn't, he basically thought I was nuts. Mikey loves me whether I howl or not.

And I'm rather jealous of your Mustang, by the way. Hugs, Marji

Yes it was a stunning sight. In Ceduna [2hrs drive from me] it was reported that the moon appeared to be sitting on the water in the Murat Bay. This was early in the morning, just as the sun was rising. Would have been lovely. I'm hoping that someone puts a picture on the internet.
