baptismal gown

I just finished this baptismal gown. First time I have made pin tucks and pleats. This was a pattern from simplicity. This gown is made with batiste also includes a slip.

This is just lovely, surely a labor of love.
Are you embroidering the child's name and baptism date anywhere on the dress? One hundred years from now it would be interesting to see how many children wore it and that it has been passed along to.

Thank you jrob. I have never made this elaborate outfit before, so I took my time and practiced the pleats and pin-tucks on scraps of material to get them just right.
