I'm making a memory quilt for my GD from her little knit clothes. Any suggestions on how to sew this very stretchy material? Should I iron stabilizer on the back? I'm doing it in the sew-in-flip method so I don't have to have it quilted...any ideas?

Try googling t-shirt quilts. I have had friends who did this. Their quilts were gorgeous. Will we be able to see a picture of the finished quilt?

I think that I would probably use iron on staberlizer to stop it moveing. Hugs Joyce

When making T-Shirt quilts I always use iron on interfacing on the backs...really keeps their shape. I would suggest this or something very similiar so your blocks keep their shape and don't add to frustrations.

Thanks for all the suggestions...I like the stab. idea...those little oneies are "so" stretchy...it looks like it will be very cute. I feel guilty cutting up those beautiful outfits, but she will always have them...thanks for your input...Linda

I would use something like dreamweave it irons on back but stays supple even with washing,look on Jenny Haskins site for more info
