Last night I went to my 40th high school reunion and saw so many "kids" I graduated with that I had not seen in all those years, it was so fun and I recognized a few without seeing their name tags! I got so many hugs and well wishes. We had an auction that had to weigh one pound and be wrapped so you didn't know what you were bidding on. Our auctioneer was so funny and the bids were outrageous, a few went for $50 and a couple higher than that. I had posted what I took for my one pound package in projects and personals I think but I'll add the pic here. Mine was next to last so people were running out of money, mine went for $10. I bid on one box and got outbid at $20 so I bid on another for $20 and got some wonderful things made in a town South of us that we have been to many times, I got a salsa or dip pottery bowl, a bag of chips, a few pieces of candy, info cards for all the places in the town of interest and the amazing thing is that my prize had a tee in it that was done at an embroidery shop in the town and it says "embrace life", considering what I have been going through I thought the tee's saying was meant for me to wear and so glad I was outbid on the first one! The money will be used toward the next reunion and I think they got enough to almost pay for the entire party! My package had these, in case you missed the pic I put up before, the Christmas towel is attached to the potholder, LHS is our school and leopard is the mascot (hence the paw print), the FSL is an angel, a butterfly, a bookmark and a pocket angel. I hope the person loved it, I couldn't see who it was. I think they got a good prize too!
