My niece's baby died today in the womb. The little boy was to be born Oct.2 This was her first. Joann and Tim were so excited they had just moved into their new home in Council Bluffs Iowa, and the baby room was ready for their little boy. Everyone is just devastated. Thanks

Such a horrible thing to go through. This happened to me 34 years ago. It was awful and almost destroyed my marriage. I could not deal with it at all. It took a long time for me to get over it. It was so unfair. I even hated God for a while. Stay close to them they will need you. About 6 six years ago my daughter went through the same tragedy while her husband was overseas in the USMC. We do recover but it does take time. My prayers are with your family. Hugs, Susan

This is truly one of the hardest things to go through. I know because I also went through it except my baby was born and lived only 13 hrs. Just be there for her and her husband, hold her hand and ask God to heal their hearts. God bless.

Cindy, I am so terribly sorry! Losing loved ones can be so difficult, but losing a baby like this before it's even born is like losing hope itself. The poor little one never even got a chance! Please be there as much as you can for your niece. I have severe depression as well, and coping with loss is difficult at best. Coping with a loss like this will surely devestate her for a while. Even for people who are well, post-partum depression is common. To be depressed in the first place, and have to go through this kind of physical and emotional pain, and end up with no baby in your arms, Dear Lord, but I can't even imagine the grief. I pray everyone can get through to some kind of peace about it, and that she won't be afraid to try for another child after some time has passed. So sorry about this Cindy. My G. son's wife, has a best friend who lost hers last week. he wasn't due 'till first of Nov. but she went into labor and they were unable to stop it. He was born dead and they had funeral the other day. My heart goes out to anyone who loses a child but God knows what he is doing. this particular child would have been very disabled if he had gone full term. ./Lillian
