I first made the redwork design, stitched on card stock and coloured it. I also made it in 3 colours - which meant I had to alter the stitching order.<br /><br />
Then I tried the latter out as a rough edged appliqué with satin stitch berries - used felt for the appliqués but intend to use gold lamé for the bauble and cotton for the leaves. I'll have to add placement lines to make placing the material easier.
