Got the wonderful turtle quilt from my friend today. Isn't this gorgeous? This is the quilt that didn't even win an honorable mention at the quilt show this past weekend. I don't know who made it but the detail is spectacular. Or at least I think s

I can understand that this quilt catches your eyes.It looks so vivid. The decisions of a jury are often very "mysterious". Hope that those quilter sees by chance that her quilt was treasured by you :o)

It is gorgeous. Judges are biased just as we are. I am sure it was still admired by all who attended.

it's all applique, it looks like even the background strips are appliqued in place. Very striking quilt and no ribbon - bummer.
