Looks like the same model as my old refrig. I replaced the ice maker twice and gave up. Went to using ice cube trays. Great idea for the refrig.

LOL, on over load. I laughed with cup of iced tea. This is great one. It is the type of thing that gets my hubbys attention towards fix. Some don't work as well. I will have to put this one in my cache of thoughts as I might need to do for a fix, repair. So thank you so much for this idea!

My ice maker and water both quit on my fridge about one day after the warranty expired; no kidding! I finally just hung my potholders on a magnetic bar over the whole water/ice works so that I didn't have to look at it. It is a shame that our appliances are so fragile these days. Our old ugly stuff lasted a lifetime plus some!

I know, my parent have a freezer and fridge they have had since the 40's....still working. Their "new" fridge has been replaced several times.
