Hey, Cuties. I copied Sue's idea and went crazy with it. I love it. Sue, I hope you don't mind, (hope I'm not stepping out of bounds). I used regular cotton fabric with some iron on stablizer. The design is from "Purley Gates" Mylar Penguin designs and my recycled CD. I have a plethora of used CD's and ideas to go with it. Thanks Sue. Hugs & Stitches, Liz

I don't think you are out of bounds at all. After all, Sue posted in DBC "Stitch any design you fancy using". You did. It's cute. ;)

Thank you! It was a little scary letting the machine stitch around the CD the first time. I kinda held my breath and covered my eyes. Hugs & Stitches, Liz

It is certainly worth the stress of waiting for the machine to stitch around the CD.

is there much wiggle room when it sews around the cd?
good question, I fear to try it this way, my machine is only 5x7 hoop and I think it's not large enough for this design. :(
It does fit the 5x7 hoop thats what I used on my Baby Lock 6 needle embroidery machine. About 1/8" all the way around is all the wiggle room there is. I was a little affraid when it started out but it sewed out fine. Hugs & Stitches, Liz
I am going to try to sew it out on my regular embroidery machine and see how it works. I'll let you know.
There is quite a big gap between the CD and the stitching line - don't be afraid!
Okay I'll be brave and give it a gooooooo :)
It does work out just fine. Thanks for looking

Don't be afraid. There is quite a big gap between the CD and the stitching! I'm wondering about a design that stitches in the hole in the middle as well.

I have not been game to try this as afraid that the needle might hit the CD but maybe I can get brave and have a go.. They look so great. Hugs Joyce
I was afraid also with the first one but it didn't even come close to the CD. Try it. I think these are going to be my Christmas Cards this year. I have many designs to use. LOL

Thank you! I had to be very careful when cutting close to the ribbon (for hanging) so that I didn't cut into it. Thanks for looking.

Sue Dewsberry put the design for the circle. I did my own design that is from "Pruely Gates" Penguin collection and added a cord to hang it with. Look around it is close to the top. Thanks for looking. Hugs & Stitches, Liz
Page 3 in DBC. It says "Sew Far, Sew Good"
That is only the text the CD design is elsewhere. I'll find it and bring it to the top.
Thank you for helping me out!
