My suitcase got torn when travelling on local airline. Have covered the tear with a design sewn on tulle and iron on cutaway and then stuck on with contact adhesive. I am just hoping that it stays in place. Sarah.

Looks great. If it doesn't stick and you have gorilla glue available, try it, just don't put alot of glue on as it expands. My GS wanted his name put on his baseball glove, like how was I going to hoop a glove, but Grandma didn't want to disappoint him. I embroidered his name on a piece of leather I had, cut it out and used the gorilla glue. So far so good, he hasn't called to say it came off. Again just be careful as to how much you use. Test first if anyone tries this glue. Its amazing.

I am not sure Katy. I buy mine at Home Depot, Walmart etc.
Even Safeway has it. I live in Canada, but if your in the States, it shouldn't be hard to find.

Hi Bettina: No it isn't a hot melt glue. If you Google Gorilla Glue, it should come up. I have a picture, I will put in Projects so you can see it.
I added a picture of the different ones. It is in projects.
Wish we had that glue here - thank you Jerri

I'll bet your hubby won't carry this bag anymore!! Maybe you will start a whole new trend to identify ones luggage. I remember seeing a design on someones site called luggage tags. One said "This is Not Your Bag". Loved it. You could use the same flower design to make a matching luggage tag. Kay

Great fix! It looks like it was personalized with YOUR TOUCH! Actually, if you had not told us it was torn, I would have thought it was purchased with the design.

Beautiful way to save the luggage. I'd almost be tempted to put a few hand stitches as it could get rubbed off the way they handle luggage.
