I have not been here for a while and only arrived back here yesterday, to discover everything has changed. If I wished to send a member a pm, I could click on their name and bingo. Now I do not seem to be able to find out how to send a message. Does one have to be a full member to do this now.

click on inbox in the top toolbar,brings up the pm page and you just add the name and send your message. When you get a private message you will see a red number in your inbox
