Yes, this is 4 layers of material, and then you only cut through the top 3 layers, mine will have to still be washed a few times more before it shows all the colours.

No problem Marietta, Jerrilyn and I pretty much have the same name. As long as it is usable for others, that is all that counts. I did a vest years ago with this procedure, used denim fabric and it turned out great.

Thank you, the bottom three colours, I was lucky to find exact mottled colours to match the top one. I uses yellow, green, and purple.

There is a special rotary cutter for doing chenille, that has a guard on the bottom,so you don't cut through the bottom layer
