Hi Cuties, My computer AND my embroidery machine both died at the same time!! So, I took them both in to be fixed. My DH said I could use his husband, so I am learning to use this Toshiba with a Windows platform = boy is this weird for a Mac person. The keyboard went wacky, I couldn't use the trackpad at all, and I don't know if they can even fix it, it's so old and beat up. I have the deluxe service policy, so they may have to replace it - that may be five weeks! Then, at the Brother store when they told me it would be three weeks before they would have my ULT back. I can't live like this! So, I actually bought a Little Brother an SE 400 so I don't go into a deep dark panic! I really love this little machine. It sews great and it has a 4x4 embroidery ability and it is just soooo portable. My DH was pretty surprised, but he told me he wanted me to enjoy it, after he got over the shock of me spending $400 with us deciding together. I better not go get a computer though......

Hope you get everything fixed and back in the swing of things soon. I know what you mean regarding the computers. I have been a PC person and was just getting sick of all,the problems with the pc so when my laptop died recently I bought a MacBook and have been using it only a few days and I am loving it! My husband had a pc laptop but not really into the computer, thing but needed one for his work, so I bought him a IPad last fall. he loves it too and it does everything he needs and enjoys. I liked his so much I broke down and got one a few months ago,too and love it.
No more pc's for me except to use for my embroidery. need the pc for my embroidery software, but Imcan live with that!

In the 28 years with macs I never have had a virus. Very stable platforms. But I am rough on any kind of device. I hope I don't break my husband's pc LOL.

I feel your pain. I just went 12 days without a computer when mine decided to die on me. So no computer,no embroidering. Makes you want to pull your hair out. You will survive. I did(barely) lol

I understand the panic and the what do I do with my mind and hands. I also have a backup machine and have used it. It never goes to the shop at the same time with my other machines.

I couldn't imagine being without both computer and sewing machine! Nice solution to the problem though - well done.

Money well spent, as I have the same backup. The computer can wait, as long as you can use hubby's. I feel the same about apple that you do about microsoft. Lol!

You have my sympathies but congratulations on requiring your new machine, it sounds like a good investment.***
