my daughter has now developed pre-eclampsia with the quads...and will stay in hospital till the babies are born...so far her blood pressure has only been as high as 146....if it goes to 160 they will consider my daughter's health first and take the babies. This weeks ultrasound shows their weights at 13oz, 15oz, 1lb, and 1lb 2oz...but only 23 weeks 1 day....at 24 weeks they say the babies will have a 30% chance of survival....we covet your prayers and are thankful for those who have added them to your prayer lists. I hope I do not bore anyone with these updates....thanks so much. Becky

My thoughts are with you all. I have had pre-eclampsia myself, but my baby was older when I had an emergency caesarean. Yes they do tend to consider the mother's health first. Staying calm is crucial - no excitement from TV, no chores, no stress from my MIL (lol). Just lying in bed with the feet up. Tell your daughter to take care. Good wishes. Coral

My prayers will continue for mom and babies. .You are not boring us. We love the updates. Please tell your daughter that when she gets stressed or her blood pressure is going up to picture all of us middle aged and senior ladies on our knees praying. She is not alone. We are there with her and the babies in prayer.

I also had pre-eclampsia with my oldest son (37 years ago!) and went into seizures so they had to take him, but only 6 weeks early. I had a doctor that didn't pay attention to me at checkups; I'm glad she obviously had one that does pay attention.
