I have not posted for awhile. Soapmaking keeps me very busy from May - December. I have three farmers markets to set up for during each week and 4 wholesale accounts to keep happy!! I love making soap, but look forward to doing some sewing/embroidering/digitizing soon....VERY soon, I hope!

Just had to share this update on my two nieces. Marisa (6) and Isabel (2.5) are both adopted from Colombia. Back in 2010, when Isabel was only 6-7 months old - and for her first Halloween - I digitized this ghost and made the girls Halloween shirts. The next year, I asked my sister if they still fit them - and yes they did. Well, this is year THREE - and I asked again - and YES....they did! Isabel is a little peanut...and this shirt is only a 12 months...but fits!

I'm sharing the three photo's so you can see how much they have grown. I'm told that this will be the last year for the shirts (although, Isabel will eventually grow into Marisa's...) so, I will need to do two more next year!

They sure have grown and still have precious smiles. Maybe they will be able to tell you their favorite colors and pick a design for the next Halloween garments you make them.

After all this, can you put them into a wall hanging or a quilt to save them for the girls? I think they are too cute to put away and never be seen again.

Wonderfull, How the litlle ones grow in front of our eyes, just too fast. I have a friend who kept things like a pajama pants, nice Tshirts, blankets, etc. and when her two girls was in their last year of school, she made them each a beautifull memory quilt with what she had. It looked super.
