Another variation on my bear. I did this one with fleece fur and cotton fabric for the tummy area etc. The nose is also different on this one. Would you please give me your thoughts on which and what you like best about these bears. Thanks, Susan

I am with cj2sew! They are all wonderful! How much time does it take you to make one? After you decide what to use.

Well I' e gotten quicker the more I make, about three hours to embroider and the same to do the stuffing and hand sewing. But I don't sit and make one straight through. I do each bear in three parts. I do the embroidery and take a break. Then I turn the pieces and stuff them usually while watching TV. Then later I will assemble the bear. I' usually dreaming up what the next one will look like wben I'm in bed trying to fall asleep. Hugs, Susan

Susan Your bears are just way to gorgeous..My youngest would love this bear particulary for the purple colour lol.. may i ask how your machine coped with the fur, mine did not like it until i used wss over the top then my machine was fine.. i found a lot of lint with fleece fur going up the needle shaft.
Look forward to seeing gorgeous creations
big hugs from London - Maria xx

The fleece fur did seem to slow down my Brother machine a bit, but my Babylock didn't seem to care. The wss is a good idea. I did not think of that. A good place to use up wss scraps. No, I don't have any problem with fur on the needle shaft. My problem was the thread breaking. Now I use a heavier thread to stitch them both on the machine and by hand. Hugs, Susan

You may laugh when I tell you... I go to WalMart, they have bed pillows there for $2.50 usually and I buy those. They have the same polyfill stuffing in them as the bags of polyfill stuffing in the craft department just cheaper. Good luck on your bear. If you have any problems let me know. I'll help if I can. Hugs, Susan

would you like a hint from an old sewer of care bears. if you take a needle and scratch along your seams, like feet , arms and the rest, it will pull the hairs out and cover the seams up. not that they aren't fine the way they are.

All are lovely. Your fabric choice is great and I'll be looking for similar blankets, as you suggested, as my fleece is too thick. Could you stand a ruler up alongside to show the scale as this is hard to judge? I know they take a lot of time and effort ! Jan

When they stand up (with belp oc course) they are about 11 inches tall. They're not too big,but the one I gave my GD that just turned 2 was the perfect size for ber tuck under her arm and carry around.

All bears are sooo cute. Especially Love the purple you chose. I've never tried a bear pattern. Would love to stitch up one of my own. I'm afraid if I do one - I'll end up with a house full. Ha
