It has so much fluffy texture for the little guy to rub his hands on. Nicely made.

This is too cute. Question though, do you put any batting in between the fabric front and back? Or is that part optional?

I use three pieces of flannel for each square. I tried to brighten the blanket up by putting red in the middle of some of the squares. This is the third blanket that is going to the same family. They have two little girls which they each got a blanket, now their mom only lets them have them in the winter. Last time I made the oldest girl a purse so she would not feel left out. Now I think I will do two baby doll blankets for them to play with something really soft. This is my daughters best friend from when she was a little girl.

Absolutely outstanding. I said I wanted to see it when it was all done - I just didn't know you had it up. The young man you made this for will love it. It will be a keepsake. Thank you for sharing with us.

9 inch squares. So that I could have the extra. Hope that helps. Sorry it took so long. I did something to my lower back and have been having spasm for a week now. I am not one of those people who sit still. So this is driving me crazy!
