In the post, I read it to say that quotations could be copyrighted. I did not know that that was possible. The exception would be if someone digitized some words of a quotation or wrote them in a book, then that digitized or book product would be copyrighted.

Copyright laws protect ALL original works from the time they are created. Read about the basics of copyright facts from the U.S. Copyright Office.

I read that and could not find anywhere that copyright applies to what people say.
