Hope your new knee operation goes well. I have had the hip replacement and whilst very painful for a while, it's worth it in the end.

I have had my Right hip replaced twice. The first time totally and the second time just the ball & socket. I was in so much pain before hand that it was a relief afterwards and I wished I had been able to talk my doctors into it sooner. Maybe her insurance will allow for someone to come to your home to help with her rehab. Many home health agencies have registered physical therapists who can come in and set up and update a program for her in your/her home. Then you can follow through or they can send in a rehab aide to work with her. It is worth checking out. I had a friend who is a RPT and that is what she did for me. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your sister.
