Has anyone from Australia used one of the Freight Forwarding companies in the USA for combining their purchases from several shops into one parcel to be sent to Australia?

I saw the ad for this while I was trying to work out the different types of US postage.Some places charge way too much for postage because the used express post & I only want the cheaper post which takes 10 - 14 days to get here.One place wanted over $40 to post a 50gram item the size of a match box.This is annoying especially when they offer free USA postage & no discount for oversea postage
