WELL GALS, IT'S FINALLY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I collected my brand new Brother Quattro 2 Innovis 6700D. I went over to Zig Zag sewing machine shop yesterday for a few hours trial. Unfortunately the lady who knows all about the Tablet wasn't there to show me, so I'll go back for that another day. It's all in pieces in our back bedroom at the moment, can't wait to give it a try! Now where to put all the other stuff in my sewing room! My husband wanted to know what I'm going to do with my Husqvarna Designer 1 - I said "Are you kidding?" I'm keeping it!

That way I'll have another one if one breaks down! Now isn't that just like a woman? Anyway - it's beautiful - I'm going to call her Bella after my beloved Sheltie! Love and blessings Chris

1. Machine in the back, embroidery arm with all the hoops in the large grey box to the right and in the front is a polystyrene filled with all the accessories for the machine - there is even a mouse if you don't want to use the stylus to touch the screen, how cool is that

2. All the books that came with it, a bonus box of threads and the Tablet (which I'll learn later!)

Wow - I think you are all set to sew/embroidery away. You can have both machines going at once and make twice the amount of things for Christmas. Be sure to make something for yourself on your new machine.

Hy Mylinda, I've got a lot to do in the next few weeks. However, I will hopefully be making something for me in the new year from fabric I bought whilst on our overseas holiday. Love Chris

Thanks Anita, there is so much to learn on this new machine, and I've already seen benefits of the Brother that are more advanced than my Husqvarna D1. Love Chris

I'll be interested to see how you enjoy it. I have seen this machine at a show and it looks really amazing. Will have to save a lot of pennies so I can buy it down the track. Enjoy your new "baby" Lyn

I saw this 2 years ago Lily also at our local craft show too and told my husband about it. He said I would be able to get it when I turned 60 which wasn't till October this year and of course it had gone up by another $1,000.00! That's life, I guess. Love Chris

Chris the pair of you are going to have great fun working together. I look forward to seeing the great projects created with this super machine. As a Brother owner I love their machines and having 2 machines on the go at once is fun and sometimes challenging. Why would you want to part company with the machine you have had such fun with over the years?

It's true I'm happy about having this great machine, which has so many built in things. I just have to plug in a USB to download a design or directly connect it to my computer. No software needed. I already have the 4D programme which I bought with my Husqvarna (also has USB connectivity) on my computer anyway, so I'm set for life! Love Chris

I hope so too Kerrie - it looks like it's going to be very easy to work out. Just have to register it etc. and learn the Tablet etc. - can't wait to get started. It's also much quieter than my Husqvarna. Love Chris

Oh, Chris, I am so thrilled for you! You will love it, I'm sure! I am very partial to Brother machines, as the one I purchased many years ago, when I first began machine embroidery is still humming along and stitches beautifully! To say it has never been to a repair shop, and has had only gentle maintenance by me, speaks volumes for the Brother brand! I now have a fifteen needle commercial machine, but kept my old faithful "Brother"! Enjoy your new machine; I'm so happy for you!!
Hugs, Angel

PS- You will love the USB connection and the mouse feature! If you use a mouse with your computer it is a natural for the machine.
by pennifold 16 Nov 2012
Yes Carolyn I did get a lot, but it was worth it. I have a USB with my Husqvarna, but no mouse and I use one all the time on the computer, so that should come easily. Love Chris

I do love my Husqvarna too, but this has the larger hoop which I've been wanting for years. Also the "snowman" position finder that is awesome, can't wait to look at all the things this machine can do. Love Chris

Chris, You are going to love it. I have 2 Brothers - not as fancy as yours but I am happy. When I bought my first I was lucky enough to get 2 lots of the threads as well. Can't wait to see what you make with your new baby.
