Embroidery letter software: Hi everyone I am new to this site and I'm also pretty new to embroidery. I have a brother se-400 machine and I am looking for a simple software where I can take my font designs I have bought and merge letters together so that I do not have to do one letter at a time. I tried a demo version of letter it but it doesn't allow you to save what you created so therefore I wasn't able to sent it to my machine:( so my question for u all is what is the best simple to use letter software not more than like $100. I want to eventually but a nice program but I want to be more informed and know more about doing embroidery before I do that

I love my basic Embird program for its features and cost. Just the basic software does so much to enhance machine embroidery. Plug -ins to learn to digitize, monogram, photo stitching, etc., can be purchased, should you need them later for a most reasonable cost to go with the basic software. The greatest value for $20 I have ever spent was for the Iconizer plug-in. It allows one to view full size color views of designs, and pertinent info of each design, within folders to where they are downloaded, instead of just seeing format icons. This has helped me immensely in being able to see the design I need quickly, and to get them categorized as to type faster.

Go to Berninausa.com and download their free software called ARTLINK. I saw 6 different file formats for Pfaff machines to open designs and know the SaveAs has 6 Pfaff also. This free program allows you to open 20 embroidery formats and SaveAs 20 different formats. This program allows you to mirror both verticle and horizontal, rotate, increase or decrease size. This is not a digitizing program it merely lets you manipulate existing designs and save them in the format you need.
