Thanks Carolyn: I have been looking for something to sharpen my scissors with. Is it easy to use and how large a pair can this sharpen?

Many thanks Carolyn. I just ordered one from the company for $9.95 plus shipping. The youtube video is wonderful and explains exactly how to use it on a variety of tools. Will make nice Christmas stocking stuffers.

My Fiskars came with a holder and built in sharpener on the little ones. After watching my dad sharpen all the knifes in the kitchen he showed me the right angle and gave me a Knife Sharpening Stone. I haven't seen one like yours. His instructions are, if you swipe six times on one side do the same amount on the other side to keep them balanced. Also, mentioned that dull scissors and knifes can cause more injuries than sharp ones.

I have one of these and used it on my good pair as they were dull and would only cut paper and not fabric. I got one for my dh a few yrs. ago when they came out and sil got one and told us. I tried all the other ways to sharpen my scissors - the tin foil, sandpaper - and those didn't work for me. The speedy sharp works great. We got it on sale for $14.99 at Canadian Tire. A necessary tool for sewers!

If you get one and forget or are unsure of just how to use it, there is a video on utube where they even show someone sharpening their garden shears.
