That sure looks like a lot of thread to stitch those! Nice touch to add a little ribbon at the top too. For me at first look, the light ornaments on the dark tree give the effect of ornaments hanging on a tree. Dark ornaments on a light tree give me the feeling of polkadots as light pops out and dark fades back. On second look, I think the darker star stands out better. But truthfully, I think they are both lovely and if you want to send me one my way, I'll take either!

Very nice. Do the ornaments have little open areas in them. If you used variegated thread on the ornament part I wonder if each ornament was would be in a different color?
