I can see the 2 days long into putting together here. Also see many days of designs choice and making before hand. You have done a wonderful job making and sharing. I wish my king would have been done this way. The cutting of squares and snip, snip, snip, snip and other things going on has mine starring at me. I will get it done. I hate on going projects. The red neck phrase Get er done is a good line to follow. :) & hugs from my ♥

This is so adorable - how could you do it in two days only? You must be a wizard or quilting fairy? I never have done a quilt so far; therefore, I am not the person to know about time required but I sew and embroider for long years and know how difficult it sometimes is. Congratulations to your children for getting this lovely present and for having such an ex-
perienced mom (in law). Maria

Carolyn, You have a done fantastic job. As a quilter a few of those sashing strips look very wide (but it is hard to tell in a picture). If you place your hand down with fingers spread onto one of those areas and your hand stays only in that un-quilted area, you might want to rethink about making one or two running stitches in the larger areas. After a number of washing's the batting begins to shift in large areas that have not been quilted. Check your instructions on the batting bag/container to see what their recommendation is. Love that wedding ring quilt under it too. cj

I too have embarked on a quilt of love for someone, but had to move the sewing machine to an area that had more room and was so hot a few times had to get my husband to bring me a drink...was sewing fleece in SEP in Louisiana...it was great the satifaction I get everytime I see him under it made the aching muscles and strained eyes worth it.

I too like to quilt, top stitch, following the top design, it gives a 'lighter' feel and is more airy. Great Job, you stitched the blocks on top of the base material? not sewed pieces together to form blocks then assemble, good idea!
