Everlasting Candle. Battery tea lights are just a bit too small to sit tightly in a cardboard tube (from the middle of kitchen roll.) So I stitched Stickmuster's holly border on a piece of felt, allowing about half an inch extra to turn over at the ends. I fixed it in place with double sided tape. The tea-light now fits perfectly. I will have to lift it out by its flame to switch it on and off, but I think I'm tough enough!

It looks just lovely. Much more sophisticated than any Blue Peter project I remember. Where would we be without the inner tubes of kitchen rolls, loo rolls, etc. Used to save them all for the grands but they are into things like iPads and remote control lifelike parrots :( They don't know how much fun they are missing

Have sometimes a problem in another way: Cannot thow away any kind of package cause Felix (5) and also Anna (10) wanna use them for crafting. Today we used a craft patterns from a show in the kids TV and made some trees out of loo rolls. Have to admit that both kids love the PC and their nintendos too ;o)
Greetings, Bettina

Excellent idea and great looking. I remember wrapping rolls strong enough to make things with now days hard to find good tubes from potty rolls, paper towels, wrapping paper.
