Here is suedewsbury's applique basket, the original pieces each fit in the 4x4 hoop, I enlarged it and added the butterflies that stitched out beautifully.I also make a 3D butterfly to sit on top of the handle that I closed with a piece of ribbon.
Taking the picture I had to laugh, the material is a dark purple but shows up blue and my son said it must have ultraviolet coloring that the cameral filters out???

I found the site and I'm going to start on these today. I will have to make 12, so wish me luck this is the first time I've tryed to do anything like this. If it comes out good I'll post a picture.

Love the purpley color. We all see colors differently as I know my husband is color blind and he can't tell greens and browns apart. lol
