I really do not know what to say. Sitting beside me is a box with a brand new machine in it (a demo model). DH realised just what my machine meant to me. We had a long chat this morning and it was decided that I should have a new Bernina machine. It has messed with our finances a bit but I am sure it was the right thing to do. They gave me a huge discount, took my old one for spares also into the final count.
There was no time for any lesson, so it will be all trial and error. I feel a bit terrified at the moment. No more cards just a stick. I have been offered lessons which I take in the new year. It is all a bit too much at the moment. My new machine is a Bernina Deco 340. For many of you with very fancy machines it will be difficult to understand my joy now that I can mirror designs so easily. My old machine could not even mirror. Best of all I have a LARGE HOOP. Yippie!!!!!! Thank you all for your amazing support, especially Meg, who bought tears to my eyes. A load of hugs to you all. Sarah.
Isn't it great when our DH give us such wonderful gifts. My DH is the one
who convinced me to buy my first embroidery machine 3 years ago because I was just looking to buy a sewing machine. I have had so many
hours of pleasure and it is all thanks to him.
Enjoy your new baby,
hugs
Michelle
So the tragic changed quickly into a good end: New machine with even a bigger hoop! you have a very understanding husband and now you will be busy as a bee until christmas. Isn't it wonderful that Celia from Johannesburg had the same machine and loved it? So you have somebody "near" you (mean the same continent ;o) to help you.
So I will do the happy dance for you...
Hugs to you, Bettina
PS: Now you can use the nice bigger meerkat-design for Georgie *lol*
I'm sure you will get much use and fun out of your new Bernina
Don't forget to take some photo's and upload them for us to see.
I hope you have a wonderful, long and trouble free lifetime of sewing with your new machine.
Hugs and wishes, Meg
Hugs Pam.
Have fun !
Hugs, Nadyne
