I don't know if many cuties are like me and seldom take the time to do things for ourselves, (always seem to give my things away) but I just finished a project for myself
that despite the many hours (400,000 stitches) I put into it, is so gratifying and fulfilling. I forgot how it felt to do something for "ME".
We (I) always tend to put others before myself but today it was my turn. Word of advice girls (and guys), put yourself on top of the "to do lists" for a change and enjoy what you create, I sure am going to with this project (tree skirt),
It feels soooo good,
I am a strong believer that "it is better to give than to recieve" but once in a while it has to be our turn
hugs to all

Since I have the new camera, when I download we can no longer zoom the pics, haven't had time to figure out what the problem is.

I will enjoy it, my son just purchased his first home and I am thinking on one for his first christmas next year. See my name is already one down on my "to do list" lol

These are many, many designs that I have combined and worked together to make this scene, trees are from Embroidery Lib., sleigh from embroidery design, some freebies and several pieces combined.

Like you ,I have so many projects for our home but seldom get to them. It seems that we devalue ourselves sometimes. I felt sad the other day thinking that there was just my husband and me to celebrate Christmas together. I realized later that we were soooo very lucky to have each other. What we do for others is very important, but what we do for our own is also.
Love & Hugs, Nadyne
Oh yes you are so right, that we have someone to share our lives with is the greatest gift we can get.

Michelle, could you please remember, next time, to post such articles in projects, that is where this post belongs.
Sorry sweetie, just doing my job.
Hugs n blessings, (moderator 1 of 4) Meganne
I did post this in projects but just wanted to mention in personals how we tend to forget about us and comment on the importance of doing for "ME" every once in a while.
Will know better next time

No grandchildren yet but I will keep this and someday pass it on.
