UPDATE ON JOSHUA
Just when I thought that yesterday could not get any better.
Joshua had his final x rays and visit to the orthopaedic surgeon yesterday afternoon. The surgeon sat with Joshua's foot on his knee and with tears in his eyes told Joshua he was a very lucky young man. He told Josh that several times he considered amputation of the leg. That is now all behind my wonderful grandson. No more moon boot, no more crutches and stick. He can walk by himself. He now has to get the muscle back in his leg as it looks a bit 'sticklike'. No physiotherapy needed just walking, swimming, cycling and gym. He is one very lucky boy. Sarah.

Dear Sarah, wow! this is such wonderful news. How awesome that the surgeon cried with him - shows a caring man. Now on with the rest of his life and I pray that his calf muscles will thicken up. My leg took a while when I had my achille's tendon reattached - the muscle in the calf took a few months, but it's good now. Love to you all, Chris

Oh Sarah, I am so happy about your great news. Josh is indeed a lucky young man. I think he has had a wonderful example of g-parents and parents to show him how to be such a fighter. I am sure he will continue to improve every day now that he can do more. I am so glad for your miracle. I am glad the Dr listened to God whispering in his ear that this young man would be able to heal and that the leg could be saved.
