I have to give a big shout out to Sue & Carolyn for their ideas & help in making this hat. I thought it looked complicated I mean how much are they in the stores right?But this is my practise one for me & it is a piece of cake! thanks sew much ladies I am going to make one for hubby next!

I do have one question though. How do you where to place an embroidery design sew that it will sit in the right spot? I had a John Deere symbol on here but it has disappeared in the trim.

Now that you've made this one it is easy. Put a pin where you want it, then turn back the 'brim' and measure the distance from the (bottom) seam. As a guess I'd say the bottom of the design should be 8-10 cm (3-4") from the seam. In your case you could remove the elastic and put on a new embroidery.

they are much easier then I thought, thanks & if you don't sew the top (I just used an elastic) it then becomes reversable.

Very cute. One lady in our quilt group makes these for chemo patients at the hospital. She took 32 in just last week. She is a saint.

Love this idea and well done on achieving completion. Now all we need is where to find the instructions and pattern for it, this would be great to go with the two toned fringe fleece scarves. Thank you for shareing
