I am curious about the gift bags at Country Needle done in the hoop..anyone know if they are totally done in the hoop of if there is additional sewing required once out of the hoop?

Went and had a look at them. It is possible that they are completely done entirely done ITH. Have not done any of these. There is a contact place where you can write to them and get a reply back on the right hand side. Lets us know what you find out.

So, I did contact Country Needle and got a reply...the bags are done totally in the hoop for the sizes shown ... and they have also included information for larger bags that would require some additional sewing on the sewing machine...very temped to purchase them...especially since all of the casings are done in the hoop and the entire bag is totally finished...still trying to invision how that is done...anyone?

I looked this over and over - I believe this is done in two hoopings - do one side and then the other - then add the first side over the second.... if it were done in one hooping - I would buy it in a second. Thanks for showing us! Merry Christmas! Hugs, Laura* - btw, if you find out it is in one hooping - please let me know!!!

So, I found out that the bags require two hoopings...but this allows you to customize either side with a design of your choice...then the one side if put over the second hooping side and finished...I still can't wrap my head around how they get the top fold-overs done to make the casings...then finish and allow the drawstrings to be run through the casings...I may have to sit down and "play" a bit...I'm a visual person!

I just emailed them and they did confirm - it is done in two hoopings. ...

Hi Laura,
The ITH Drawstring Bags are done in two hoopings, giving you the opportunity to embroider a design should you so desire. Please feel free to email again should you have more questions.
Happy Stitching and Merry Christmas!
