Sweet Little Elf Doll. Another "Nora" doll from Embroidery Outlet (Gerda Burghardt is amazing and she is having an excellent sale thru Dec.31). This one I used the ears from the elf and curled fun fur yarn for her hair (Which looks just like my sister's natural hair, we had a laugh together). I used raggedy leaves for her apron and made a little bunting baby out of bits and pieces from everyone's designs. You are all so kind and giving...I hope I can inspire you in some way. I am working on the hair video..... Merry Christmas

I love her. How long did it take to make her?

Hard to say. I do them in parts I make four sets at a time. It takes 2 hours to stitch out one and turn it. Then some time stuffing and hand finishing. The hair takes about 2 hours to put together then whatever details like hair accessories and shoes. Maybe 8 - 10 hours.

You did a wonderful job on her. With all the detail you put into her I could see her in a TV show for children.

Just absolutely adorable. How do you curl the yarn?

Wrap the yarn around a small dowel or knitting needles, I use corn cob skewers that I purchased from Safeway but I think they are seasonal. Spritz the wrapped dowels with a little water and bake it in the oven at 225 degrees for about 30 minutes. Let it cool and you have curls.

Love your doll bought patterns also. Can you tell what material you use for your dolls body?
